I first encountered this anthology when a friend recommended I page through it and read some of the poems about the complexities of love, sex, and relationships. The poems in many ways embody that full range of emotions one feels when they feel loved or unloved, sexually satisfied or unsatisfied, or when one lacks introspection and is in search of themselves. I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that I could relate with many of the beautifully written verses and will definitely come back to it from time to time for inspiration, a laugh, or advice

Ms Fowler writes with an insight to the soul. She captures the essence of our most basic emotions, love and pain. Life Lyrics is warm like a comforting blanket, at times stark and truthful. She has the ability to tap into emotions you try to hide allowing you to feel good or cry but you indeed feel. It treats you to your favorite romance being pleasantly surprised by something you missed making it fresh and new. At times she is brash but pain is a strong human emotion that holds no boundaries. There is something here for all. It's a passionate read.
